Studio Avenue 50 in Highland Park (just west of Figueroa) has a new exhibit opening this weekend-- October 12 is the official reception event: it's called
Caceral Liberation? A Naive American Prison Art Show.
"Featuring art by Judy Brown Wolf, Kirk A. Whalen, and other Native artists currently incarcerated, along with the artwork of Native American activist Leonard Peltier."

The show is open through November 2.

Jimi Castillo (Tongva/Acjachemem)
Leta Wise Spirit (Hunkpapa)
Chase Iron Eyes (Oglala)
Randall Murphy (Choctaw/Lakota)
Makha Blu Wakpa (Itazipcho)
